pixeled jpgs in flash

Posted by kiareri - August 22nd, 2012

hey guys, question for all you flash experts, is there a way to get your jpegs from being animated all jaggly and pixeled when you export a swf file?

Best to check the Flash Forum here http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/forum/2 - just keep scrolling back till you find the answer. If I had to guess, it may have something to do with the way the jpegs are encoded, like the sub-sampling ratio, DCT method... maybe even convert to gif - I've heard that Flash like gif better than jpeg.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful :(

Thanks for the help man. For some reason it just stopped being pixeled. Weird. But thanks for your help!

No prob - thanks so much for continuing to post such kick ass artworks!
